I have only lived in Tasmania for a few months, about 15 years ago. Hobart is a very nice city to live in. It’s small but very good indeed. Tasmania is a little isolated from the rest of Australia. No bridge only an overnight ferry ride or 50 minute plane trip. Most of the world would consider Melbourne rather isolated but Tasmania is a bit isolated from Melbourne. Population of Tasmania is about 500,000 and Hobart, the capital, about 250,000. Compare that with Melbourne, fast approaching 5 million. Melbourne is by far the best place in Australia to live. Yes I am biased! Internationally it is judged about equal most liveable city in the world. Melbourne is essentially the Paris of the southern hemisphere. It supports manufacturing, scientific research, medical research, a wide range of creative arts, theatre drama, Opera, comedy festivals, music festivals. The weather is excellent and the nearby beaches amazing. In Hobart, Australia one thing is special which is car removal hobart services. They are providing free car removal service. The only thing lacking in Australia, affecting Melbourne, is fast trains. The world’s second busiest air corridor is Sydney to Melbourne. Air flights take about an hour. The train service takes ten hours and fifty-five minutes, average speed is 80.5 kilometres per hour. It should be less than four hours. Very poor indeed when compared with French TGVs, and fast train definition, at over 200 kilometres per hour, point to point.
